Gandalf

Hi Angie I realized I hadn't given you an update on Gandalf lately. He was sick the last time I wrote you, he's perfectly healed now and as active as ever. Frank and I renamed him Dewey after a character on Malcolm in the Middle. He is quite the daddy's boy! He loves being around Frank so much that he follows him everywhere. When Frank leaves he sits at the door whining. Just about every single evening when Frank comes home from work, Dewey will jump up on his lap, crawl up onto his chest, and then they'll both zonk out for awhile. I included a picture of that. When I called home earlier this evening I know they were napping together in the chair with the tv on. We buy him toys just about every time we go out. His favorite is this mouse on a bungy string that hangs down from a door. He goes nuts playing with it. We tried to keep his diet varied, but his absolute favorite food is Innova Evo and that's all he wants to eat.
When I first adopted Tango (we initially renamed him Mistofelees but we never called him that. We called him The Keykey. After we adopted and renamed Gandalf we decided to rename Tango too. Now we call him Oliver, another name from Malcolm in the Middle, and he's taken to that name.) his foster mom warned me atleast four times that he was a talker. He talks, but it's usually only when he wants food, treats, attention, or it's bed time. Dewey is the talker! He talks non-stop and he'll even be in the other room talking to himself sometimes. It cracks us up, especially because he has such a weird voice. Frank loves to answer back as though they're having a conversation. Dewey is quite the snuggler too. I'll wake up and find him curled up in my armpit or under my legs. And he loves his brothers!!! He and Oliver snuggle, groom each other, wrestle and play chase and tag. They are a great fit. He plays with Clyde, sometimes grooms him too, and I've caught him petting Clyde as if Clyde was his pet.
Cleaning the cages at petsmart is going well too. Frank has started coming with me every week, just so that he can spend time with the cats. He gets really excited about it and he wants to adopt practically every cat he sees up there. I tell you, he's going to be a crazy cat man when he's old. Well, anyway, I need to get back to work. I hope you enjoy the picture!Annie

Troy

I adopted Troy, last spring for my daughter’s birthday. Troy was found frozen to highway 44 in a ice storm, in Troy MO. When I heard hisstory I just knew he belonged in our family. He is the "SWEETEST" cat we ever knew. He loves to, play and sleep with my Bulldogs. His favorite is Chopper they are the best of friends, as you can see in the picture. I just want to thank you Heartland for finding Troy, and letting us adopt him.

Thanks,
Jamie Thomas

Sweeney Pets

Here are some updated photos of Lily (Lynette), George (Tweedle-dum) and Cosmo (we kept his name). Everyone is settled in and doing great. We couldn't imagine our lives without them. We wanted to thank everyone at Heartland for everything they do. You truly make a difference in the lives of animals. - The Sweeneys
